Local Storage
All data you create in Become is stored locally on your device using Apple's secure storage frameworks. Your data:
- Resides only on your device's local storage
- Is protected by your device's built-in security (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID)
- May be included in your iCloud backup if you have iCloud Backup enabled in your device settings
- Is encrypted at rest by iOS when your device is locked
No Server Storage
Become does not operate servers that store user data. We do not have databases containing your personal information. Your data physically cannot be accessed by us because it never leaves your device.
Your Security Responsibilities
Since your data is stored on your device, its security depends on your device security practices. We recommend:
- Using a strong device passcode
- Enabling Face ID or Touch ID
- Keeping your iOS version up to date
- Enabling iCloud Backup if you want to preserve your data
6. Data Retention & Deletion
Retention
Your data persists on your device until you choose to delete it. We do not have access to your data and therefore cannot impose retention periods.
Deletion
You have complete control over your data. You can delete your data by:
- Within the App: Use the settings menu to delete individual entries or reset all app data
- Deleting the App: Uninstalling Become from your device will permanently delete all app data
- iCloud: If you use iCloud Backup, you may need to also delete backups to fully remove data
Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered by us because we never had access to it in the first place.
7. Third-Party Services
Apple App Store
Become is distributed through Apple's App Store. When you download or purchase our App, Apple may collect information as described in Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not have access to this information.
In-App Purchases & Subscriptions
If you make a purchase or subscribe to Become Premium:
- The transaction is processed entirely by Apple
- Payment information is handled by Apple, not us
- We receive only a confirmation of subscription status (active/inactive)
- We do not receive your name, Apple ID, payment details, or other personal information
No Other Third-Party Services
Become does not integrate with:
- Analytics services (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude)
- Advertising networks (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads)

- Social media platforms
- Customer support tools that track users

8. Your Rights

Become is available internationally through the App Store. Because we do not collect or transfer any data, there are no cross-border data transfers to disclose.
Your data remains on your device in your physical location. If you travel, your data travels with your device.

- We will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page
- For material changes, we will provide notice through the App or via the App Store update notes
